Dr Sajid Sultan, FCPS, FEBU, is the Professor and Head of the Department, Pediatric Urology at SIUT. He trained in Urology and Renal Transplation at SIUT followed by further training in Pediatric Urology at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormand Street, London, and Sophia Childrens Hospital, The Netherlands.
Dr Sultan undertook extensive training under world-renowned Pediatric Urologist, Mr Philip Ransley. Dr Sultan was instrumental in the development of the Pediatric Urology department at SIUT, a state-of-the-art and first ever pediatric urology department in Pakistan. He has also contributed in carrying out Pediatric Renal Transplantations at SIUT. He has extensive experience in the management of various aspects of paediatric urolithiasis. His surgical expertise includes both complex open and minimally invasive surgery for urolithiasis. He has performed more than one thousand percutaneous nephrolithotomies (PCNL) .
Dr Sultan is a faculty and an examiner of Urology for The College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. Author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications as well as author of a book chapter on Urolithiasis. He is an Associate Editor of the journal, Frontiers in Pediatric Urology and Journal company member of Journal of Pediatric Urology. He is a reviewer and member of several national and international journals and societies respectively, of Urology, Pediatric Urology and Transplantation.
